The Out & About program at West Central Abilities strives to assist individuals to find opportunities to be a valued part of their community.

Through this program, individuals are invited to spend time volunteering with Meals on Wheels and at Sharper Image salon. They also complete planning, shopping for and preparing snacks and meals for the day program. This includes creating and following a grocery list and sticking to a budget. This program helps with vehicle care and maintenance as well, cleaning the agency vehicles inside and out.

Individuals also choose to spend time at the walking track, public library, and shopping at various businesses throughout the community. We enjoy attending local sporting events like hockey and baseball games, when possible, as well.

One of the highlights of each week is getting to visit a local restaurant for lunch!
